Line interfaces: Must have
Confirm three-phase supply, cooling-water or coolant-plant ownership, compressed-air demand if mist extraction uses it, and how parts arrive from milling or stress relief. Representative production samples—not a single coupon—should travel with the inquiry so the factory sees thin plates and tall fixtures together. Size, flatness and surface finish must be measured after cooling; a hot reading after spark-out is not the same inspection you will use at SAT. Upstream washers and downstream CMMs are interfaces: name who designs the handshake.
Tradeoff
A compact hydraulic table saves floor area and can starve a high-mix cell that needs a longer stroke for fixture bases. A larger envelope handles bigger plates and raises foundation, coolant and connected-load cost. Single-machine installation versus an integrated grind-and-wash line changes staffing and SAT: the first accepts a cooled plate; the second also accepts handling, washing and restart after an interruption.
